My name is Tammy Diseker and I have 4 beautiful daughters....one which still lives at home that is 11 years old.  After I competed in the Mrs. Texas/America Pageant, my daughter had her first glimpse into the world of pageantry.  She developed such an interest that I started doing some research on my own.  As a director of an up and coming pageant, I was also researching how other pageants operate.

I knew I did not want my daughter involved in the kind of pageants that were ALL about looks, with contestants that were all about themselves.  I experienced that during my very first competition when I was 19 and it was not a pleasant experience.  I saw a lot of people that were not sincere nor caring about any other contestants, but themselves.  That really stuck with me over the years.

As I was searching for pageants, I came across "Building Inner Beauty" Pageant!  The name alone caught my attention. As I further researched, watched some You-tube videos and read some info briefly on their website, I really became intrigued.  I came across Crissy Broeske's name and she seemed to be very involved with the pageant so I sent her a message.  She responded quickly and we set up a time to meet.  During our conversation, I had no idea that she was the founder and director.  I discovered it and felt terribly embarrassed that I did not realize it.  Crissy never acted boisterous nor offended that I had not recognized her position as the director. As a matter of fact, she thought it was kind of funny!

We scheduled a time to meet for lunch and visited about SOOO many different things.  I told her I would love to volunteer wherever she needed me and she quickly invited me to participate.  I was concerned about any conflicts if my daughter

competed, but there was no need to be concerned.  Over the next several months, Crissy held workshops for all the contestants and offered very valuable information to all, making everyone feel excited and welcomed. You could see that the volunteers were sincerely interested in helping ALL the girls feel special.

The weeks prior to the pageant, Crissy held a Spa Day for all the volunteers, along with some wonderful fellowship and food.  She made everyone seem special and that she was blessed to have us all in her life.  A day I will always cherish!

The day of the pageant, Crissy was graceful, as was all the volunteers and the judges.  Everyone earnestly making ever effort to keep nerves calm, share messages of our inner beauty and the importance thereof.  The Pageant was such a wonderful event that even though my daughter did not receive a crown, she knew she was a princess inside because of what had been shared with her by all the volunteers and Crissy.  Still standing on stage, after the other girl was crowned, my daughter looked at me, with a smile on her face, while I standing behind the curtain off stage, and said, "Mommy, I want to do this again!"

I think THAT moment, made me realize the true impact that BIB had on both our lives.  I am a fan forever of Crissy and Building Inner Beauty!
